Elections 2016: The ‘Green’ Candidates Forums
The second ‘Green’ Candidates Forum, convened by the Climate Action Coalition of South Florida, took place in Boca Raton on Saturday, 8/13. Six incumbent and aspiring candidates from Palm Beach County Commission to State House and Senate positions shared their current actions, policy proposals, and personal passions on climate change issues spanning the Ag Reserve, energy diversification, Solar Amendment 4, mass transit, Everglades restoration, waste management, clean water conservation, sea level rise, and education.
As we move into the primary election August 30 – and looking to November – it benefits us all to set aside a little time to get a real sense of those who genuinely share our needs and aspirations, and who can actually get things done.
